The national Conference on Assess information, Advice and Active help was held in Zadar on 3/5 July 2013 and represented an opportunity to discuss the impediments in the free legal aid system currently in force in Croatia. It was also an occasion to give a broader picture about the entering into the EU, future challenges and opportunities. During the event was presented the work of the IMPACT Office for Cross sector
partnership and Civic dialogue – Brussels office as an opportunity for the sector to gain relevance and importance.

The existing croatian legislation on the legal aid issues was examined and discussed and the workshops on assistance to citizens proved to be a moment for learning and sharing experiences.

During the conclusions the debate was mainly focused on the new law on free legal aid that was currently being drafted by the Ministry of Law and the lack of financing from the government and the EU funds.
