As part of the Triple A for citizens – access to information, advice and active help project, CHRIS’ network will continue to provide free legal aid for all, especially for citizens whose rights have been violated, in the towns and regions where it is active. The CHRIS network will continue to cooperate with organisations which support vulnerable groups who are subject to discrimination in Serbia such as persons with disabilities, the LGBT community, national minorities and others. Underlining this cooperative effort, representatives of the CHRIS office in Negotin have signed agreements for cooperation and the provision of free legal aid with several organisations.

The representatives of  the Negotin office of the CHRIS network, Dušan Prvulović  and Vesna Blanić, in a meeting with Jovan Simić, the Secretary of the Cerebral palsy and Poliomyelitis Association, agreed to open a counseling office for persons with disabilities; as well as to have “on call” provision of free legal aid every Monday provided by the lawyer of the CHRIS network, Vesna Blanić.  The meeting was also attended by Duško Perišić on behalf of the “Good Tree” organisation.

In the offices of the Society for the Vlah/Romanian culture of Northeast Serbia (Ariadnae Filum), a press conference was held where the representatives the CHRIS network’s Negotin office, Dušan Prvulović and lawyer Sanijela Dinić, presented a program of free legal aid in Bor for all members of the Vlah/Romanian and Roma community whose rights has been violated or who have been discriminated against in any way. The free legal aid agreement with the CHRIS network was signed by Zaviša Žurž from the Society for Vlah/Romanian Culture of Northeast Serbia (Ariadnae Filum), and Ramis Mamutovski for the Roma Society “Forward” Bor. The representatives of minority organizations spoke of the necessity of this type of help for their members and for citizens.  Mira Žikić from the Municipal Administration of the Municipality of Bor, assigned with minority issues, also spoke at the press conference. The lawyer Sanijela Dinić, will be on call every Tuesday in the counseling office in order to provide free legal aid.

Representatives of the Negotin office, consisting of the coordinator Dušan Prvulović and the lawyer Svetlana Stanković, also informed the Secretary of the Society of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Negotin, Snežana Čejkić, about the CHRIS network’s programme of providing free legal aid. On this occasion, an agreement for cooperation and the provision of free legal aid was reached, and on-call shifts every Wednesday will be provided by Svetlana Stanković in the offices of the Society of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Negotin,.
