The Country Report on the system of information, announcement and active assistance to citizens in Serbia is the result of researches conducted by the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights within the framework of the Triple A project.

The Report provides an insight on obligations pertaining to information and advice in existing Serbian regulations and offers a list of legal aid providers.

It also reflects the current state of free legal aid regulation thanks to the researches conducted in the areas of information, citizens consulting and free legal aid providing.

In Serbia there is a lack of unified legal framework and legal aid provision is based on various legislative regulations or citizens’ needs. So, local self-government units, lawyers, NGOs, law clinics and syndicates qualify as potential free legal aid providers.

The Report includes also richful data about users of each service as well as areas covered by free legal aid provision.
