The national conference on Access to information, Advice and Active help took place on 13 September in Prishtina. The conference was organized by the Civil Rights Program in Kosovo (CRP/K) and it aimed to inform the participants on the findings of the survey results and map the key challenges of Access to information, Advice and Active help.

The event was attended by representatives from local NGOs, representatives from ECAS and NACAB, the UNHCR and high officials from the main public institutions. During the conference, the Kosovo’s President of the Assembly, Mr. Jakup Krasniqi, pointed out that the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo has already established the basic principles for providing free legal aid to citizens and guarantees the right of access to public documents. To
ensure that the citizens without sufficient financial means can have access to justice, a free legal assistance is already provided. Of course, Kosovo needs to continually improve its effective access to information and active advice in order to increase and enhance its capacities.
