The Network of the Committees for Human Rights in Serbia, CHRIS, continues to cooperate with associations of persons whose rights have been endangered under the framework of the Triple A for citizens project. As a result, the CHRIS network in Niš has signed agreements on the provision of free legal aid with associations of persons with disabilities and with Roma associations.

The representatives of the CHRIS office in Niš, Milan Krstev, Lawyer, and Marija Mirković, Assistant Coordinator, had a meeting with the President of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Marina Savović, and signed an agreement on cooperation and for the provision of free legal aid for the members of the Association.

The Association of Disabled Students in Niš and Niš’ CHRIS office held a meeting attended by the Association’s Vice President, Mirjana Veljković, where an agreement for the provision of free legal aid was signed.

The CHRIS network’s office in Niš continued and enhanced their current cooperation agreement with the Centre for Independent Life of Disabled Persons in Niš through the signing of an agreement on free legal aid. On behalf of the Centre for Independent Life of Persons with Disability, the agreement was signed by the President, Katica Ranđelović.

As one of the most discriminated groups in society, apart from persons with disability, the CHRIS network also assists members of the Roma population.  In this respect, an agreement on the provision of free legal aid was signed with the President of the YUROM center Niš, Osman Balić. Further steps detailing the types of cooperation will be taken in the near future.
