On 10 06.2016, in Bitola, Macedonia – The Coalition ‘’All for Fair Trials’’ organized the 2nd workshop, as part of the project ‘’No more victims of violence- prevention, legal protection ‘’, within the scope of the Triple A for citizens – access to information, advice and active help services. The aim of this workshop was to bring together people and professionals who are interested in the legislation, policies and practices related to the victims of violence, and also to collaborate and provide the participants with appropriate knowledge in the field, by addressing issues regarding Access to information, Advice and Active Help on both national and regional level.

The workshop was attended by 15 participants: representatives of the NGO’s, law students and lawyers. Ms. Aleksandra Bogdanovska, Executive director of the Coalition ‘’All for Fair Trials’’ held the first interactive part covering several topics in order to explain and define violence in all its forms.  Ms. Bogdanovska encouraged everyone to participate in an exercise based on examples of violence and non-violence, designed to help the participants define and recognize forms of violence.

In the second part of the workshop, Ms. Natali Petrovska, Lawyer of The Coalition ‘’All for Fair Trials’’, did an elaboration of Appropriate legal Mechanisms, as one of the important guarantees of prevention of violence, criminalizing violence and protecting the victims. She introduced the participants to existing methods for prevention and legal protection.

In the end short video (movie clip) was played that was very useful in terms of prevention of violence, because it addressed its causes and the components which are inherent to a violent act. Participants later shared their opinion on the movie, shared experiences and agreed that violence is a learned behaviour that very often can be prevented. Based on the feedback from the participants, the overall goals of this training workshop were successfully achieved.
