There are lots of different reasons why children still end up stateless, but it’s never by their fault.
Thousands of children in Europe are growing up without a nationality, without a country to belong to. They are often not allowed into schools, or even to see a doctor if they are sick. No chance to grow up like other kids. Statelessness brings hardship and anguish to children and their parents alike.
